It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about
AllSaints and, being perfectly honest, since I’ve even been into the shop. Somewhere amid all that grey marl and draped leather they lost me but I’m very pleased to say that as of this season, I’m back on board. Funnily enough I hadn’t given their SS13 collection much though until the other week when I previewed their AW13 offerings at the newly refurbished AllSaints Earlham Street store. While I can’t divulge any real details about what I saw there I
can tell you it’s gorgeous (think Phillip Lim and half the price), so gorgeous in fact that I was extremely keen to check out their current offerings. Entitled “Portraits of a Collection” AllSaints SS13 is the first installment of what will be an ongoing collaborative project with various international creatives “chosen for their rejection of inherited thinking and appetite for creative disruption”. While I’m not 100% sure what that means exactly, lots of the looks have gone straight on my wish list and let’s be honest, that’s what
really matters. These are my top four from the collection…

I’m massively into leather at the moment (who isn’t?) so AllSaints luxe minis are definite faves although minimalism isn’t particularly my style so I’d probably pair them with a brightly coloured, preferably Peter Pan collared blouse rather than an understated tee. Given my penchant for all things glittery, the graffiti skirt and top combo was a no brainer. Also it’s worth noting that this ensemble would give you real bang for your buck because each piece can be worn separately in about a zillion (well, ish) different ways. A white leather jacket is ranking high on my new season lust list and AllSaints have executed the not entirely straightforward style par excellence. As for the floral sweater… No explanation necessary.

It was announced hours ago that All Saints is FINALLY coming to Toronto. I fell in love with the brand while visiting my sister in Glasgow. I do agree though, saw a lot of grey and draping, but their boots are timeless and edgy, no?
With you on the lost you comment.
Weint in the other day, and yes, upped their game but their price point is a tad too high for me…. Loving their pony skin pouches tho
