Remember my post on Atelier-To-Go back in January? Well in case you missed it and/or haven’t heard of the site, Atelier-To-Go is a carefully curated, editorially driven e-boutique that combines the crem de le crem of contemporary and luxury labels with gorgeous editorials, refreshingly non-patronising styling advice and fashion features by Elle’s Stacy Duguid, stylist Julia Brenard and many more industry insiders besides. When I interviewed Founder, Director and CEO, Jacqueline Stuart shortly after the site’s launch she told me that her aim was to create a “curated compilation of luxurious, transitional brands presented in an accessible, friendly and engaging way”… And how better to translate that sense of stylish intimacy from the digital world to the real one than with a trunk show in the A-MAZING Schiaparelli Suite at London’s Mayfair Hotel?
I’ve never been to the Schiaparelli Suite before and after paying my first visit, I’m desperate to go back. Preferably with unlimited Chambord cocktails and rails of sartorial delights everywhere, as there were at the Atelier-To-Go event last week. After practically salivating over the hot pink King size bed and very nearly leaping into it’s plushy pillows, I set about examining the clothes on display and they certainly did not disappoint. Atelier-To-Go stocks a fair few of my fave brands but on this occasion, the team had handpicked a selection including L’Agence, Rebecca Minkoff and PAPER LONDON (which you might have spotted in a recent Look Du Jour) plus a range of fabulous frocks from Halston Heritage.
It is times like this when I really do wish I was in possession of an overflowing bank account as it must be truly awesome to try leave with anything and everything you fancy. Or, if said bank account is seriously stuffed, simply book another suite and spend the evening playing dress up, getting spa treatments and ordering vast amounts of room service.
Love Ella. X
