Banana Republic Launches Mad Men Collection!

Banana Republic Mad Men

I don’t know whether you’ve noticed but recently I’ve been trying to veer away from news type posts and focus more on personal pieces. While this is great (I think?) in theory, in practice there are some snippets of sartorial juice so worth sharing my “no news” policy goes straight out the window. Case in point, the launch of the Banana Republic Mad Men collection. I was lucky enough to be invited to the preview some time last autumn and what with the 1960s being one of my all time FAVE style decades, it was no surprise that I fell head over heels for pretty much all of it. I’m also a major Mad Men fanatic (what sane person isn’t?) so the fact that the show’s award winning costume designer was Banana Republic’s partner in crime on these creations certainly didn’t hurt. And as for the clothes themselves, I don’t even know where to start! Simple shifts in eye-popping shades, block heeled pumps, graphic prints and capri pants… What’s not to love? Certainly not the ad campaign starring the drop-dead-gorgeous Coco Rocha. Could you not just SEE Megan Draper (hello girl crush!) slinking around her and Don’s jealous-making Manhattan apartment wearing one of these monochrome numbers?

The Banana Republic Mad Men capsule collection will be available from TOMORROW (March 5th) so I highly recommend you get your fabulous selves along to your nearest store asap before these beauties sell out.

Ps) I must reiterate that this post was not sponsored, no one needs to pay me to write nice things about something this gorgeous.

The collection launched in the US at the end of last week and I adore the mod printed dress. The silk is pretty on that one!

Coco would NOT have been my choice for this campaign but she does look good. Love the dresses, though!
