For the past few months I have been interning with London Stylist, Iman Pasha. I’ve had so much fun working with her on amazing projects like the trunk show she hosted at Browns for designers Erdem & Zagliani. So as you can imagine, when Iman offered to hire me as her full-time assistant this year I practically jumped for joy. It has to be said that working for Iman Pasha Fashion Consultancy is infinitely more enjoyable and less likely nervous breakdown-inducing than other experiences in the industry that I could (but wont) mention. But no matter how much you love it, fashion = stress. Fact.
The New Year has got off to one hell of a busy start as at any given time, Iman seems to be working on about 10 different projects. This week is a particularly hectic one as we are in the midst of preparations for the Haute Muse Magazine covershoot featuring a certain uber famous style icon whose identity I cannot yet reveal. The shoot will take place in Quatar and be followed by an elegant soiree in which Matches Quatar (yes the ultimate British boutique has indeed hit the Middle East) will play host to some of the most glamourous ladies on the international fashion scene.
|New Year, new job, new handbag… It just seemed right.|
So this week we’re up to our arms in stunning designer garments by every hotter-than-hot label from Alexander McQueen to Lanvin… Obviously that part of the job is pretty peachy. Documenting every garment on a lengthy and extremely confusing spreadsheet before packing it up in endless layers of tissue paper and bubble wrap, not so much. Naturally the work is broken up by frequent Starbucks runs, cigarette breaks and to play with Imans adorable new pomeranian puppy so all in all, I’m loving the life of gainful employment.
Love Ella. X
