A few weeks ago my good friend, the lovely and talented Nik Thakkar asked me to take part in a video shoot for cooler-than-cool online vintage emporium, Nordic Poetry… Naturally I said yes. Given that fellow participants included musician (and son of Paul) Natt Weller, renowned stylist & DJ Alexis Knox and uber blogger Shini Park, I was a teeny bit apprehensive as I made my way to the Sanderson Hotel that chilly Tuesday morning. My nerves weren’t helped by the fact that not only was I first up but Nik decided that it would be a brilliant idea to shoot me lying on a pool table clad in lime green vintage Versace. Afterwards I was worried that my Britney Spears impression (Nik instructed me to, and I quote, “channel Britney in her Slave for You video”) would look so ridiculous that I’d get cut from the final edit. Evidently the genius that was Gianni can transform even the most committed prepster into a bit of a minx and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the video!
