5 Minutes With… Nanette Lepore

I always love grilling designers on their inspirations, aspirations and how they come up with the collections we all covet but I have to say, I was particulary excited about this particular interview. As you’ve probably realised by now, I’m a bit of a Nanette Lepore fanatic and her colourful, summery extravaganza was one of my favourite New York Fashion Week moments this season. I’m a firm believer in the idea that fashion should make you happy and Nanette’s deliciously flirty aesthetic never fails to bring a smile to my lips. On top of that, she’s also one hell of a businesswoman who’s weathered all manner of financial and sartorial storms to reach where she is.

5 Minutes With… Forward PR Founder, Courtney Blackman

As you’ve probably noticed, when I post interviews with fashion industry insiders I always try to squeeze the person in question’s job title into the heading. Well, this proved a bit tricky in the case of Courtney Blackman. You see Courtney isn’t ‘just’ the Founder and Managing Director of Forward PR, one of the capital’s leading agencies. She also runs The Industry London, a hugely successful fashion professionals members group Courtney co-founded in 2006. Add to that appearences NBC’s Today Show as a fashion commentator, roles on numerous fashion juries and talks on social media and you’ve got yourself one seriously impressive lady!

5 Minutes With… Three Floor Fashion Co-Founder, Han Chong

I’m sure I probably don’t need to introduce you to Three Floor Fashion but just in case, I’ll start this post with a few choice words anyway. Three Floor are arguably one of the hottest brands to have launched during the past couple of years. Their fashion forward yet ultra wearable style have earnt them an army of style savvy fans, not to mention features in every major publication going, from British Vogue and The Evening Standard to Garage Magazine. Most significant perhaps is the fact that despite being a favourite among Editors, bloggers and stylish girls-about-town alike, Three Floor remains determinedly high street in price.

5 Minutes With… Mulberry Brand Director, Georgia Fendley

The Brilliant Britain press breakfast may have involved setting my alarm for an eye-wateringly early hour but Mulberry sure as hell know how to make a crack-of-dawn wake up call that little bit easier. Not only was there the promise of a far more delicious start to the day than my microwave porridge and an introduction to the project to entice me out of bed, but I’d also been promised the chance to chat with Mulberry’s brand director, Georgia Fendley.

As a die-hard Mulberry fanatic, I could have quite happily picked Georgia’s brains all day. But given her major role at one of the world’s most coveted brands, I kept things short and sweet. Enjoy…

goat fashion

A while back I was lucky enough to go behind-the-scenes on the SS13 lookbook shoot for goat, a brand who’s delectable take on understated luxury have kept them a firm favourite among fashion insiders and discerning shoppers for over a decade.
