Try as I might to stick to the “blog post schedule” I usually knock together on the tube on a Monday morning, said schedule has inevitably changed ten times by Wednesday. More often than not this is due to running out of time, looming uni deadlines or staying out too late on a school night and consequently oversleeping but sometimes it’s for an exciting reason not related to poor time management or lack of self control. And oh, I love those times. In the case of this post (which I will get to the point of soon I promise) my weekly scheme went out the window because I caught wind of, ok received an email about, a really really awesome brand that will be hitting our ever increasing wish lists very soon. Meet Mauro Grifoni AKA the label every cool girl worth her sartorial salt will surely swoon over.
There’s something quite Opening Ceremony meets J.Crew about Mauro Grifoni, undercut by an inimitable Italian lusciousness exuded by every tactile textured knit and glimmering brocade. Print and colour come in plentiful supply, which obviously means major thumbs up from me, but it’s the mix-n-match-yet-perfectly-put-together feel to this label that really makes me go weak at the knees. Silk jacquard and a neon puffa? Why not! Tartan wool cigarette pants plus gingham shirt and striped jumper? Bring it on! Chic separates, immaculate cuts and playfulness combined with wearability make Mauro Grifoni seriously hot fashion property. The collection arrived in Harrods fashion lab this week so you can bet your pastel pink overcoat I’ll be ransacking it ASAP!
Love Ella. X
