As I mentioned in my latest outfit post, Kurt Geiger recently invited me to co-host an event with them at their lovely South Molton Street store. The party took place last Thursday evening and, even if I say so myself, it seemed to be a huge success! From the moment I arrived the shop was packed with shoe fanatics, lured in by the prospect of champagne and decent sized discounts. As I left almost two hours later there was still a steady stream of people at the door. This was my first ever in-store event so I was initially quite nervous but after a couple of glasses of champagne I got mingling, doling out (no doubt misguided) style advice and generally having a good time. Besides “working the room” I also managed to try on about six pairs of shoes, have a manicure with nail gurus, Four Fingers One Thumb and get myself sketched by illustrator extraordinaire Willa Gebbie.
