What with Victoria Beckham scooping up fashion awards and the Olsen twins continued sartorial domination, it’s hardly surprising that more and more celebs are deciding to try their hand at designing. As you probably already know, the latest famous (well, famous ish) face to get in on the act is none other than Chloe Green. Chloe’s decision to make her first foray into the fashion industry has encountered a fair bit of scepticism. But while it’s all too tempting to write off her shoe collection for Topshop (where else!) as another rich girl’s pet project, the results are actually rather impressive. My personal faves are the mint green Misha wedges (below), definitely one for the wishlist!
On Tuesday evening Chloe invited the London fash pack along to check out the fruits of her labour. My fellow guests included an eclectic mix of tabloid favourites, industry insiders and seasoned FROW-ers with everyone from Tess Daly to Louise Roe and Alexandra Burke in attendance.
Any event that combines alcohol and shopping is alright by me and between the champagne cocktails and six inch statement heels up for grabs, Chloe’s soirée truly nailed that fail safe combination.
