Just in case my numerous excited tweets, tumbles, instagrams and facebook updates didn’t give it away, this week I was lucky enough to attend the private view for the ling-awaited Christian Louboutin exhibition at The Design Museum.
Spending monday evening sipping (ok guzzling) champagne with Dita Von Teese is a sure fire way to get your week off to a cracking start, regardless of the next morning’s “headache”. Stupidly I didn’t realise quite what a big deal this event was, until I arrived and saw the red carpet. The museum was packed fit to burst with the international fashion elite who had turned out in force – and in red soles, natch – to celebrate the career of this most iconic of shoe designers. After spending about 10 minutes lurking in the loos I finally spotted a few friends and after a not-so-brief mingling session headed upstairs to enjoy the spectacle. My full review of the Christian Louboutin exhibition is up on VelourMagazine.co.uk but here are a few snaps from the party…
