Party season is in full swing and this week has played host to so many elegant soirees that the London fash pack have been well and truly spoilt for choice. Last night I squeezed my severely bruised tootsies back into my current footwear of choice – 6-inch, chunky heeled platforms – and headed over to New Bond Street where Emporio Armani had teamed up with top record label, Polydor to bring us an evening of live music and strong cocktails. The vast Emporio Armani store is pretty impressive at the best of times but yesterday evening’s decor really took my breath away. Armani promised us a “summer garden” and they certainly delivered. The back of the building had been transformed into a luscious, grass-carpeted space complete with an elevated gallery to give guests a perfect view of the stage. Plus, smoking was allowed INSIDE the venue which scored it major brownie points with me.

The evening was hosted by the ridiculously beautiful Tamsin Egerton (above) and we were treated to live performances from Sunday Girl, The Pierces and Natalia Kills. I wont pretend to know anything about music because quite frankly, I don’t but from where I was standing these ladies all put on one hell of a show.

Famous fashion faces mingled with music industry insiders but despite the bevvy of style setters and A-listers present, the atmosphere was suprisingly intimate and relaxed. We drank delicious (and lethally potent) Ciroc vodka cocktails, munched on miniature deli sandwiches and danced the night away to DJ sets from Life in Film and Stuee Bevan. Whilst the evening didn’t do my traumatised toes a whole lot of good, the musical stylings of Sunday Girl and co made it well worth the morning after agony.
