La Petite Party Diaries: Farfetch.com Hosts Private S.C.U.M Gig

I think it’s safe to say that last Thursday night was one of extreme contrasts. After spending an hour or so sipping champagne at the Juicy Couture soiree in Mayfair, my next stop was Shoreditch where I was interviewing indie rock band S.C.U.M after their private gig hosted by Farfetch.com. This elicited a fair amount of mirth (and mockery) from my friends as between my blouse obsession and my penchant for fine wine and overpriced cocktail bars, I’m not exactly an East London girl. Still, variety is the spice of life so off I trotted in the direction of Redchurch Street, ready to forgo my usual tipple and pretend to be far, far trendier than I actually am. And do you know what? It was a hell of a lot of fun.

The gig was evidently a pretty hot ticket event and there were plenty of familiar fashion faces for me to sip Hoxton gin & tonics with. Despite having never previously heard of S.C.U.M (Lana del Rey and Rhianna are the edgiest names on my iPod) I enjoyed their set and when we were finally booted out I was really quite sad to head home.
