Held in the vast Old Selfridges Hotel and attended by London’s elite, this event was a serious “must-attend” and boy, am I glad I did. Last week was a pretty important one for the department store. To celebrate the long-awaited unveiling of their new womenswear designer galleries, Selfridges enlisted some of the most revered names in fashion to showcase their talents as part of The Film Project. The results were truly incredible with Dries Van Noten, Comme Des Garcons, Gareth Pugh, Dries Van Noten and more coming together to create visual sensations beyond any I have ever seen. But enough about that, let’s get back to the party. The guest list was strictly A-list including everyone from Henry Holland and Gareth Pugh, to Dominic Cooper and Laura Bailey. My fellow attendees and I were treated to limitless champagne, fresh lobster and more flavours of ice cream that you could taste in a lifetime, let alone one evening.

In between eating, drinking, mingling and throwing some slightly embarassing shapes on the dancefloor I somehow found the time to investigate the film spaces which quite frankly, were not to be believed. There were endless rooms filled with four-poster beds, bean bags and entire floors made of mattresses… Basically think stylish sleepover beyond your most extravagant dreams.
