As I’ve often said before and will no doubt end up saying again, fashion folk will leap at any excuse for a party. Store launches, collection previews and forthcoming collaborations are just a few of the many, many reasons savvy brands give for throwing a knees up and this week was, perhaps unsurprisingly, no different. Tuesday night had a fairly packed party line up and I managed to resist the allure of Mad Men/my sofa, instead headeding out on the town. First on the agenda was a soiree hosted by Superdry at their vast Regent’s Street store. The brand has recently teamed up with legendary hairdressers, Tommy Guns, to install a whopping great salon on the shop’s bottom floor. In true fashion form, they marked the salon’s arrival by inviting a gaggle of journalists, bloggers and industry insiders to head down to the store for a night of champagne, canapés and pampering. Shopping and grooming are probably my two favourite pastimes so combining both in one building in certainly cause for celebration as far as I’m concerned!
