La Petite Party Diaries: Velour Magazine Celebrates its’ First Anniversary

A few weeks ago I was invited along to Mayfair’s Cuckoo Club where the fine folk from Velour Magazine were celebrating its’ very first anniversary. Since then have been so busy obsessing over all things Parisian that I haven’t quite managed to post a party report but the evening was just so much fun that I though it would be better to share the juicy details now than never at all.

Those of you who have read Velour will be well aware of what a fashion forward and downright quality publication it is. And for those of you who haven’t, think fabulous features on the hottest new designers around and general info on everything cool worth knowing about. Suffice to say, the magazine’s birthday bash played host to a crowd so hip it almost hurt to look at them and the club was packed with more journalists, artists, designers and famous fashion faces than you could shake a stick at.

David Gandy et Moi (swoon!)

We knocked back fishbowl sized Gin & Tonic’s and tasty fruit cocktails (always a recipe for a successful soiree) whilst mingling to our hearts content. Naturally a large portion of the evening was devoted to ogling Velour’s current cover star, David Gandy, who had flown in especially for the event. Later my fellow guests and I were treated to a set by internationally renowned DJ’s Margaret Bowman and Broken Hearts. We danced until the early hours before staggering home unglamorously from what was without a doubt one the most enjoyable fashion events this summer.

    Love your lace dress.

And Olivia Grant's dress is lovely too. Is it a bit wrong I have the biggest crush on her dead father?

    Lots of love from Sydney,
