What: Ditsy print sundress: Paul and Joe Sister (c/o), Denim jacket: Vintage, Bag: Oliver Bonas & Wedges (Gap)
Where: Little brother’s birthday bash in Sussex
Just as I was starting to feel O-V-E-R summer, this Paul and Joe Sister ditsy print sundress happened. All of a sudden the idea of leather and shearling felt deeply unappealing and I just wanted to carry on frolicking bare legged in the heat forever. Having moved flats the day after receiving this adorable little number, the rest of my week was spent up to my eyes in unpacking, a tedious task which demanded nothing more than scruffy shorts and a ropey old tee. With no more holidays booked and Autumn fast approaching I started to panic that I might not get a chance to wear it until next year! Luckily, an opportunity presented itself on Saturday when my 18 year old brother was having a party. I had agreed to take on the role of “responsible adult” for the evening so my parents could make themselves scarce. Unsurprisingly, the idea of me supervising a teenage rager elicited much mirth from, well, everyone. Even more unsurprisingly, I sucked at it. I won’t go into the details of the evening, you definitely wouldn’t want me to, but ultimately everyone survived, the house is just about in one piece and I got to wear my new favourite frock… Success!
Love Ella. X
