Look Du Jour: Holiday Needed

When I originally started writing this Look Du Jour post a couple of days ago, I struggled to think of what on earth to name it and what exactly to talk about. Which is ridiculous because, come on, it’s not exactly rocket science. So I’m going to be honest with you, an opening line that – according to my father – tends to be used purely in an attempt to pre-excuse the questionable action you’re about to admit on the basis that at least you didn’t straight up lie about it and therefore the recipient can’t be pissed off that you’ve accidentally poisoned their cat or whatever. Annoyingly, I find that his assessment of the phrase is pretty accurate on the whole, but not in this case.

What I meant to say before getting *mildly* sidetracked was that it would be utterly, laughably ridiculous for me to spend the next couple of paragraph’s whinging about wanting a little R&R somewhere sunny in light of what’s happened over the past couple of weeks… and months… and throughout 2016. On the other hand, a blog post featuring pretty pastel dresses probably isn’t the appropriate forum to open up a conversation about the US election results or the terrifying, volatile state of the world right now. So here’s a little fashion escapism in the form of pretty pictures instead because let’s face it, we all need a bloody holiday or at the very least, five minutes of avoiding reality.
