Look Du Jour… Lemon Loving

Generally speaking I like to think I’m one of those savvy shoppers who wisely invests in classic pieces that transcend the trends of their season and evaluated on a cost-per-wear basis, practically pay for themselves in the long run. But, after careful consideration of my purchases this season, I think it’s safe to say that my recent shopping style has been less than restrained. Since about February I’ve been sating my never-ending sartorial appetite with bright colours, flowing fabrics, soft tailoring and more peter-pan collar blouses than one should be legally be allowed to own. Penniless though I may be, my SS11 wardrobe is looking pretty impressive. Now all I need is some decent weather so I can show off my latest loves without running the risk of catching hypothermia. But frankly even if the sky stays grey I’m going to wear my new season buys regardless of the health risks involved. No matter what anyone says, comfort will NEVER be more important than style.

I went to Whistles. I went wild. What can I say? When Jane Shepardson and her team of evil genuis’s tease us with adorable blouses in every colour-pop hue imaginable, what’s a girl to do? And once I’d bought the blouse, I couldn’t NOT get the skirt as well… They were made to be worn together after all!

LOVE everything about this outfit. You can also count on Whistles for really cute, well cut pieces. Love the combination of the red and yellow, thought only Winnie the Pooh could rock that look, but you've managed it well.
