Where: Drinks in London last month… This month Milan Fashion Week parties!
I know, I know… Summer’s officially O-V-E-R yet I’m posting a yellow, floral two piece outfit involving orange sandals and a lemon shaped bag. But what kind of blogger would I be if I cracked on with all things autumn without sharing this (I think) fantastic ensemble with you?! It’s not surprising that this co-ord was an instant hit with me. It combines four of my all time, absolute, like-crack-to-me favourite things: print, bright colours, matching stuff and collars. Throw the flower motif and mini skirt aspects into the mix and it’s positively mind boggling that it’s taken me so long to post it. In fact, I’ve only actually even worn this outfit once or twice. Does that ever happen to you? You’ve got a look you really love ready to go, you’re waiting for the perfect occasion to unleash its sartorial awesomeness on the world then all of a sudden the season’s past and you’re left feeling an unsettling combination of embarrassed and confused.
In the interest of not having to pack this little number away for the next umpteen months of rain without at least giving it a decent outing, I’ve decided to take it to Milan Fashion Week with me in a couple of weeks time. Perhaps misguidedly and entirely thanks to Anna Dello Russo, I feel that all Italian’s share my love of zesty hues and attention grabbing patterns. Wearing a look so bright and coordinated in Paris would and perhaps will be another matter!
Love Ella. X
