Look Du Jour: Spring Blush

As much as I enjoy sharing every single one of my halfway decent outfits with you, I’ve realised that my usual self-timer shots taken against my sitting room wall are ever-so-slightly on the dull side. Not to mention the fact that I just don’t have enough clothes (sob!) to come up with four different, post-worthy ensembles every week. So in the spirit of making the most of the recent sunny spell (yes I’m talking about the weather, AGAIN!) I donned my SS11 finest and took to the streets of West London accompanied by my long-suffering boyfriend and a very large camera. Unfortunately our little photoshoot coincided with rush hour which not only held things up but became increasingly embarrassing as we gathered an audience of amused school children and commuters. Note to self: when prancing around in public places make sure to do so during office hours!

As I’m sure you’re already well aware, I have the teensiest bit of an obsession with blouses. If it’s chiffon, sheer and collared with a grandma-meets-little-girl vibe then you can guarantee it’s probably already in my wardrobe.

I’ve been hankering after a pair of cigarette pants for what seems like about a decade. From H&M to Stella McCartney, no matter where I searched or how much cash I was begrudgingly prepared to splash, I could never find that perfect pair. That is, until now.

I stumbled across these crisp cotton lovelies in Reiss whilst killing time before a lunch date and just knew I had to have them. There’s just something about a pair of tailored trousers that makes you feel instantly chicer and infinitely more sophisticated. I felt that this look’s ultra delicatte palette needed a little something to spice things up so I added this colour-pop bag and belt to make things a bit more interesting.
