Look Du Jour: Temperley Lilac Again

Yup, Temperley Lilac again. But you know all too well that when I like something I really, really like it and am all about repeating said thing well beyond the point where others might move on. But tell me this, who in their right mind would move on from a) Temperley London and b) the colour lilac? Only a damn fool as far as I’m concerned! Those are two pretty fantastic things after all…

I absolutely adore this Temperley dress. It is pretty much the dream “nice dinner” number. Smart and stunning enough to feel fabulous wearing but no so fancy that you run the risk of turning up at the restaurant and looking like an idiot because everyone else has decided to go casual for their own inexplicable reasons. I mean, who wears jeans when they could be prancing around in this kind of lilac embroidered loveliness… WHO I ASK YOU!? Well, lots of people but each to their own I guess.

As you might remember from my final Bucharest travel diary, our trip to the Romanian capital ended with an amazing dinner at Joseph restaurant. Thinking about it right now is making me extremely hungry so I’m just going to keep typing and try to stop thinking about the total let down whatever I end up making (lol, obviously I mean ordering) tonight will be. Thankfully Holly and I have a similar view on seizing any opportunity to get dressed up so we both grabbed the slickest ensembles we had in our suitcases before hitting the Intercontinental Bucharest‘s Executive Lounge to shoot, drink and psych up for Joseph.

I decided to up the anti with some extremely sparkly stilettos and a shiny clutch because it’s go hard or go home people, especially when we’re talking accessories. Obviously I was really going for it that day because not only had I actually put on eyeshadow in the morning, I updated the makeup look to make it more evening appropriate… And that is in fact what my next beauty post will be all about so watch this space.
