I’m rather sad my collaboration with Juicy Couture is over, it was such fun! Much as I loved styling the looks for post number one I have to say, the event itself was best bit. I definitely don’t need to tell you how much I enjoy a party. Working a room with a glass of champagne in hand, great music playing and most fabulously of all CLOTHES EVERYWHERE… My idea of a perfect evening. The fact I got to host this kind of soiree with two of my fave blogger pals, Reem Kanj of Five Five Fabulous and Ella Gregory of Coco’s Tea Party, and call it “work” makes me feel like an incredibly lucky girl indeed. But enough about me, let’s talk Juicy Jeans.

Out of the three ensembles I styled, for the main event I chose to wear the navy coated skinnies and it’s safe to say, these babies are going to be getting a LOT of use this season. Great fit, super comfy, look a hell of a lot pricier than they are, I’d definitely recommend snapping up a pair toute suite. I would not however, recommend wearing them on the tube in August during rush hour. I made that mistake and nearly melted. Luckily I managed to make myself vaguely presentable by 6.30pm because the store packed out within minutes! The handsome waiters standing by the door with trays of bubble and Watermelon Martinis no doubt helped to lure people off the streets but from my many laps of the room I discovered that most guests were there specifically for our event! It’s always mildly embarrassing when you’re hosting something like this and the attendees you approach think you’re just an overly chatty (read: weird) random stranger so it was lovely to meet lots of LPA readers who, I must add, were all exceedingly chic!
The evening’s main attraction was, of course, the jeans. As I said in my previous post, Juicy Couture have really taken their denim offering to the next level this season. What with 20% off everything on the night, I’ll admit I struggled to stay professional and not ditch my hosting duties in favour of treating myself to the zippered style in every single colour. Besides champagne fuelled shopping (the very best kind) we also enjoyed leopard print cake pops, meringues, macaroons and bespoke Juicy Couture manicures by nail gurus Elegant Touch. When I say “we” I do mean it literally as I got talons adorned with leopard spots and sparkles… Just couldn’t resist. Too add to the fabulousness, the wonderful Whinnie Williams was on the decks and after the event drew to a close (sob!) she “persuaded” me to hit up a gig in North London where I’m happy to say my leather look skinnies went down a treat!
A huge, huge thank you to everyone who came along and of course to Juicy Couture for getting me involved in this project.
Love Ella. X
