First and foremost a HUGE thank you to everyone who came along to my event with Karen Millen at their Regent Street store last week. It was so lovely to meet you all over a glass of Prosecco or three. And those jackets! I die, seriously. Here are a few pics from the evening itself. There was a lot of dressing up, selfie taking and hot waiter ogling. All in all, it was a good ‘un.
I suspect I don’t need to tell you which pieces were my personal faves given that I wore, obsessively stroked and/or instgrammed the hell out of them. Numero uno has to be the green suede jacket I was rocking on the night. The iconic biker is Karen Millen calling card and the fact that this season they’ve made them in every shade under the sun makes me endlessly happy. It also intrigued me to discover that said leathers are all crafted within the brand’s own Shoreditch studio. Impressive stuff, no?
I have to admit that in recent years, I haven’t really shopped at Karen Millen much. Between the (admittedly very good) workwear and bodycon dresses, it stopped being very “me”. However, I’m happy to tell you that the Brit brand is back on my style radar with a vengeance and I shall be frequenting it in future. While continuing to do office appropriate attire, Karen Millen is also offering a wide variety of chic, far more fashion focused pieces. Besides the iconic bikers and wardrobe staples SS14 brings bold animal prints, delicate broderie anglaise, fiery pleated chiffon and neon embroidered floral organza confections I need in my life, like yesterday.
Thanks again to those that came and hope to see lots of you at the next one!
Love Ella. x
