As with Burberry, I didn’t get these shots up the second – or even the month – they arrived in my inbox so they may not exactly be news anymore but the latest campaign from Mulberry is so darned delectable it would be a crime not to post them! Last season they resurrected memories of childhood holidays by way of Brighton beaches and ice cream shades. For AW12 the sense of nostalgia remains, but instead of seaside frolics, Mulberry’s muse is taking a walk on the wild side.
The brand’s latest campaign sees the doe eyed, pouty lipped vision of loveliness that is Lindsay Wixon shot by Tim Walker in a English woodland setting. Autumnal hues, mixed textures and luxe layering scream fashion, while furry monsters (yes really) and fairy tale surroundings play on the romantic and ever-so-slightly subversive children’s stories we grew up with. Personally I’m torn between wanting a pet, monster of my own – the ultimate tool for scaring yummy mummies and small children off park benches – and that fabulous burnt orange number. On balance, I think the dress would be a wiser investment.
