Weekly Wish List Returns!

Yes, after what seems like a very long time, La Petite Weekly Wish List is BACK! Between fashion week, moving house (foolishly right before fashion week) and developing a rather expensive taxi habit while in New York, I’ve had precious little time or money to spend revamping my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. Well, now fashion month is drawing to a close, my student loan is impending and I’m oh-so-ready to hit the shops. And what better way to get in the mood for a new season spree than by compiling a selection of my favourite new season togs?

Tods No Code Collection for AW12

Tods No Code

Given my love for all things preppy, it’ll come as no suprise to hear that I adore Tods. After all, this is a brand renowned for creating the world’s most adorable loafers. But even Blair Waldorf (circa season 1) cannot live on loafers alone and being the global super label it is, Tods knows this all too well.

There are certain items of clothing that really stick in a girl’s mind. First bra, first designer handbag, graduation dress… But memorable though these sartorial stepping stones are, I’d argue that your first pair of really great jeans is every bit as crucial. Well, few people understand the importance of a well made jeans better than Paige Adams Geller, Founder of cult label, Paige Denim.

Chloe Attitudes: The Alphabet

A couple of weeks back I brought you the news of Chloé Attitudes – an incredible exhibition celebrating the house’s 60th anniversary at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Just as the labels’ founder, Gaby Aghion was considered extremely progressive in her day, Chloé continues to push boundaries and embrace all things modern six decades on. Not content with simply showcasing their awe inspiring archives in a retrospective curated by the legendary, Judith Clark, Chloé have decided to extend their reach even further via the wonders of 21st century technology.

Girl Crush Alert! Helena Christensen

I know what you’re thinking. I’ve got a girl crush on Helena Christensen? Big deal, who doesn’t! I mean, the woman’s a supermodel for God’s sake! But then, Helena is much, much more than just a pretty face. The danish beauty has had a long and varied career including everything from strutting her stuff as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and starring in campaigns for Prada, Lanvin and Hermes to working as Creative Director for Nylon magazine, running international charity campaigns and building a fourth (or is it fifth?) career for herself as a respected fashion photographer. Her most recent project – designing her own collection for Triumph Lingerie. As well as designing the ultra luxe undies, Helena also directed and starred in the campaign herself. Further proving that at 43, she’s still got it.
