Given that in real (as opposed to fashion) terms AW12 has barely even begun it does seem a little mad to be thinking about what we’re going to be wearing next autumn but actually, it’s rather a good idea. The Autumn/Winter collections are relased in February so by the time it’s chilly enough to wear them we’ve been looking at them for the best part of six months. By then we do admittedly have the Spring collections to ogle but personally I find the thought of flimsy summer dresses while wearing thermal underwear and hugging a hot water bottle a little disturbing. Therefore the unveiling of next year’s cashmere creations in fact makes perfect sense. Ok, so they may not be hitting stores for a fair while yet but by the time they do we’ll have the following season’s collections to feast our eyes on. Confused? Just have a good old gawp at these pre fall stunners from Burberry and all will become clear in no time.
Opulence and elegance aren’t the easiest of bedfellows but Burberry have managed to combine them to create a collection that exudes timeless chic with a luxurious twist. Classic staples like the shearling lined aviator jacket and of course, the trusy trench have been given a 2013 makeover by way of sculptural silhouettes and high tech fabric processes. Think bonded cashmere, lightweight sheared mink and animal print ponyskin is luscious autumn perfect hues. Yup, SS13 is barely even on the horizon and after seeing these Pre-AW13 treats I’m already wishing it away.

Ps) How much do you want to believe these two are a real-life couple? And maybe be them… Just a little bit
