Trust Whistles to come up with a mid-season treat so delicious that even the most frugal of shoppers (which I am most certainly NOT) can’t resist the urge to splurge. As soon as I’d, somewhat unrealistically, sworn not to buy anything for at least a month, that crafty Jane Shepardson just has to go and release a luscious leather peplum tee from the Pre Fall collection exclusively at Selfridges.
This latest development spells disaster for my finances for a number of reasons. Firstly I’m obviously going to need one of these perfect pepluma in my wardrobe asap which will set me back a cool £250. Secondly, the second I step inside Selfridges the many designer delights housed in London’s ultimate fashion emporium will inevitably result in me frittering away what little remains of my student loan on more new season treats. Then again, when the togs on offer are as chic as these leather lovelies, why would anyone want to resist?

Ps) Apologies for the last of wish list this week. I’m off to the Vogue Festival this morning and spent so long choosing my outfits I ran out of time to make it!
What: Blouse: Whistles, Skirt & Shoes: Topshop, Tights: Asos, Bag: Alberta Ferretti
Between term starting, blogging and my new job at Velour Magazine, things have been fairly hectic of late. Still, given that I got to spend yesterday morning interviewing the lovely David Koma and Jackie Lee, I’m not exactly complaining. Finding time to party (or sleep for that matter) between deadlines, lectures and press days has been something of a challenge, but where’s there’s a will – and an open bar – there’s certainly always a way. I mean, all work and no play would make me a very dull girl indeed! This evening I’m off to the launch of cult, concept boutique Wolf and Badger’s new Diver Street store. The fine folk at W&B have hosted many a raucous fash bash in the past so I’d be surprised if tonight’s any different!
