Forget Christmas, Birthdays and just about every other major occasion you can think of, September 8th is far more deserving of serious celebration. On this magical evening London, New York and countless other cities undergo a transformation for what will from now on be the highlight of my year, Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. If, like me, you love champagne, shopping and shameless people watching then VFNO is pretty much paradise. Seeing as every store worth it’s salt puts on a party it would be pretty much impossible to attend them all, but we certainly let that didn’t stop us from trying.

| Yours truly at Rupert Sanderson |
My first stop was Bruton Place where the top floor of Rupert Sanderson’s adorable boutique had been transformed into a fabulous 70′s style roller disco. Tempted though I was to trade in my heels for a pair of skates and get funky I managed to resist and thank God I did! Combining cocktails and roller skates could only have ended badly.

| Burberry |
Destination number two was Burberry who, true to form, kept the champagne flowing and treated us to a live performance by hotter-than-hot Brit band, Wolf Gang. As per usual the Burberry soiree proved to be one of the hottest in town with the sickeningly beautiful likes of Amber Anderson, Cara Delevigne (that girl is EVERYWHERE!) and Jade Williams (AKA Sunday Girl) in attendance. Meeting the wonderful Christopher Bailey was definitely the highlight of the party despite the fact that I was so pathetically star struck I undoubtedly babbled at him like an idiot.

Next we headed to Juicy Couture’s deliciously girly Mayfair store where we enjoyed equally delicious bellini’s and DJ appearences from Razorlight’s Jonny Borrell and model-of-the-moment Tali Lennox. Being the organisation obsessive that I am, I had prepared myself a Fashion’s Night Out itinerary (sad I know). After a glass of champers or three it had gone straight out the window so we decided to freestyle and headed back up Bond Street for Bally’s bash. It turns out the Swiss are not only great at making watches and chocolate but also know how to throw a damn good party! Bip Ling was on the decks and the queue to get in was half way to Green Park so we decided to skip the crowds and spend the rest of our night there.

Several hours of drinking, dancing and ogling Bally’s incredibly gorgeous waiters later VFNO finally drew to a close. Suffice to say, I’m already counting down the days until next year.
