Trust Whistles to come up with a mid-season treat so delicious that even the most frugal of shoppers (which I am most certainly NOT) can’t resist the urge to splurge. As soon as I’d, somewhat unrealistically, sworn not to buy anything for at least a month, that crafty Jane Shepardson just has to go and release a luscious leather peplum tee from the Pre Fall collection exclusively at Selfridges.
This latest development spells disaster for my finances for a number of reasons. Firstly I’m obviously going to need one of these perfect pepluma in my wardrobe asap which will set me back a cool £250. Secondly, the second I step inside Selfridges the many designer delights housed in London’s ultimate fashion emporium will inevitably result in me frittering away what little remains of my student loan on more new season treats. Then again, when the togs on offer are as chic as these leather lovelies, why would anyone want to resist?

I'm desperate to try out a peplum, I think they look awesome! I'm also v. jealous of you going to the Vogue Festival… exams and a lack of finances meant I couldn't make it
